Septic & Waste Water Designer / Engineer

Job Description

In this position you will be responsible for designing waste water treatment systems including conventional septic systems, sand filtration, mounds, and other un-conventional systems. You will interface directly with clients and government regulatory agencies, estimate project needs and costs, write reports and carry projects through to completion. You will either have a 4 year degree (BSCE preferred) or equivalent work experience and a demonstrated ability to work well in an organization where self motivation, creativity, and initiative are required. Ideally you have prior waste water / septic design experience or are in a position to make a commitment to learning the skills and productively applying them by coming up to speed quickly.

Qualifications

• Overall 3+ years of experience in an engineering environment
• 1+ year experience designing waste water systems, septic design, and or similar systems
• Hands-on experience interacting with customers/clients and regulatory agencies
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant DOE regulations
• Ability to work with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Proficiency and knowledge of AutoCAD Release 14 or later
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to shine within a loosely structured environment
• Motivated self starter
